Experience a day of Music, Healing Practitioners, Indigenous Elders and much more on the Beautiful Land of Daniel Strawn.
All proceeds go to Tierra Sagrada, The Sacred Earth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of indigenous cultures, their territories and their wisdom.
This is a view from The Sacred Earth Sanctuary where some of the funds will go to build an event center for hosting indigenous elders, offering initiations and much more.

9:30am Gushikawa will perform her ceremonial sword dance for peace. Gushikawa Ceremonial Sword Dancer for Peace Gushikawa is a burst of rainbow glittering through a prism of talent. Her performances are moving ceremonies for Peace. Her sword used not as a tool of violence, but as a needle weaving colorful threads into the tapestry of harmony in the world. It was said in the Holy Land that, with her sacred sword, she carves an opening into Heaven to allow the Angels to come through for our assistance. Many people personally experience the power of healing while she dances. She bridges time and space, blessing all as one with her Ceremonial Sword Dance for Peace.
10:00am Opening Ceremony with Grandmother Walking Thunder, Dine'Medicine Woman.
Grandmother Walking Thunder has dedicated her life to healing in the traditional ways of the Dine' Medicine People.
She truly walks in "The Beauty Way" carrying the wisdom of ancient tradition to bring this forth for helping us to "remember". She will also offer private healing sessions throughout the day.

Kirtan is one of the oldest spiritual traditions on the planet. It is the practice of chanting ancient Sanskrit mantras, sometimes called Bhakti Yoga or the Repetition of the Names of God.
Tom Fuhrmann & Friends Kirtan offers a banquet for the soul where we gather together and sing these beautiful prayers, repeating sounds that form the basis of all human language and resonate vibrationally in that place of remembrance that we are indeed All One.

11:30 Despacho Ceremony with Naya Devi
In the indigenous traditions of Peru and the Andes, a despacho is a traditional ceremonial offering (or prayer bundle) in gratitude to Mother Earth (Pachamama) and the Apus (mountain spirits). This beautiful interactive ceremony will be lead by Naya Devi, a shamanic practitioner in the tradition of The Four Winds Society, and a certified teacher of the Inkan Medicine Wheel.

This is suitable for adults and children of all ages if accompanied by an adult.

1:00 Maile Ngema Lama, Shaman of Nepal :Ceremony to bless the land. With drumming and chanting. Maile Ngema Lama is a mediator between the worlds of the ancestors and the spirits and they guide her in her gifts and her healing work. Today she is considered one of the most powerful healers in Nepal.
At the ages of 7, 9 and 11 Maile Lama was abducted by Banjhankri, a wild forest shaman, and taught to become a healer. At 11 years of age she began working with her uncle, a Nepalese Shaman and to practice her healing work and has continued her work to present.
Jessica Johnson and Appalachian Music
Jessica sings the music of rivers and stones. Her timeless songs send a trickle down your spine as she sings you right into the heart of the matter. She sings with clarity, sincerity, and a ripple effect that will leave you humming along well into the night. Along with her own songs, she is well steeped in Appalachian traditional songs and ballads, as well as old blues. Each song is presented as a deep offering of wisdom and kinship to all who are present to hear them. You can hear the old growth of the forests coming through her redwood top guitar. Her voice has been compared to Gillian Welch, Martha Scanlan, and Emmylou Harris and she has played Western stages from California and Colorado to the deep South of New Orleans and North Carolina. Watch for her upcoming new album near the end of 2013.

Daniel Strawn, artist,designer and researcher into what it means to be incarnate. Daniel has always strived to be true to the evolutionary processes of refinement and development that enables the spirit to flair. In his presentation, Daniel will explore the perception and process of the artists' journey and the dynamo of conscious creative process. Laura Alonzo de Franklin, LMSW is a Consejera Espiritual Curandera.
She is founder of Kalpulli Teocalli Ollin (Community Sacred House of Energy) an indigenous healing group. Her path began at an early age while being raised by her mother and maternal grandmother. She was raised between two border towns, San Benito, Texas and Tampico, Mexico. Laura grew up respecting and honoring the sacred herbs, prayers, and rituals of her Aztec/Mexhika, Lipan Apache, Mestiza, and Indigenous ancestors. Over the past 30 years, she has learned many methods of healing including social work, curanderismo, shamanic arts, temazcal and ceremonial dances, and herbology. With over 35 years’ experience, she remains deeply rooted in her ancestral healing traditions.

Dances of Universal Peace use sacred phrases and simple movements as spiritual practice. By honoring the diversity of world religions, individuals and the community deepen their understanding, broaden their perspectives and promote harmony and peace within and without. Timothy Dobson will facilitate a participatory Dance of Universal Peace experience with live music and inter-faith prayer. No experience necessary.
ABOUT TIMOTHY:
Timothy Dobson has taught the Dances of Universal Peace for 25 years. A graduate of Naropa University with a B.A. in Music/Psychology. In 1992, he received ordination as Interfaith Minister through completing a two-year program with the New Seminary in New York City. In order to expand the presence of Interfaith community in the Boulder/Denver area, Timothy founded Spiritkeepers Interfaith Fellowship in 1994.
Timothy's work with Dances of Universal Peace and SpiritKeepers nurtures and expands a community experience of the Sacred through participatory exploration of ancient and modern wisdom traditions.

93 to 470E
Take 285 S. toward Fairplay.
Near Pine Valley turn left on CR126 towards Deckers. This is about 25 minutes and the first traffic light you will encounter.
You will be about an hour on this road. Once you reach Woodland Park turn right on Hwy. 24 (West) Appx. 25 minutes
Just West of Florissant up a small hill turn left on CR 46 by Saddle Up Realty (Wagon Tongue/Slater Creek sign just prior) you will be 9 miles on this dirt road.
You will encounter 2 places where you may feel you should go straight, one is a ranch the other is CR403, at these places curve right to stay on the correct road.
After about 5 miles CR46 becomes CR98 just continue on.
After you have traveled 7.5 miles on this dirt road you will see a lovely private lake at Wagon Tongue development on your right.
Continue straight Appx 1.5 miles past this lake turn left at Echo Valley Estates and the mailboxes.
Turn right immediately at Valley Road.
The house is appx. 0.6 miles from the mailboxes where you turned into Echo Valley Estates. The property is on the right hand side up a steep driveway. There are tires around the driveway.
